Mark Reveals How Many Bandwidths it Takes to Run Facebook and How Many Hours He Works Daily

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

After quite some few Q&A held at Townhall over the past few months by Mark, He decided to have a Q&A session on Facebook yesterday.
And I was able to collate some few questions by users and answers given to them by Mark.

Below are the questions;
The first question that got my attention was from a user who asked
"How many bandwidths it takes to keep Facebook operational"
The answer might shock you, as Mark told him;
"It takes Many Terabytes per second Bandwidths and hundreds of thousands of servers to keep Facebook functional"

The second question was from another user who asked how many hours Mark work's daily.
And Mark Replied;
" That depends on what you count as work. I spend most of my time thinking about how to connect the world and serve our community better, but a lot of that time isn't in our office or meeting with people or doing what you'd call real work. I take a lot of time just to read and think about things by myself. If you count the time I'm in the office, it's probably no more than 50-60 hours a week. But if you count all the time I'm focused on our mission, that's basically my whole life."

Great and committed person I'll say.

The last question I will be sharing is a motivational one from Mark.
A fan asked;
"what the most important secret of success is."

In a simple yet motivational short reply, Mark Answered;
"Don't Give UP"
